BARLA COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP 2009
The opening game of the BARLA County Championship 2009 begins tomorrow evening with the ‘War of the Roses’ clash between Lancashire and Yorkshire. The sides clash at Ince Rose Bridge ARLFC, kick off 7.30pm and a large crowd is expected at the Wigan ground.
No doubt amongst the crowd will be a contingent from Championship holders Cumbria who will either entertain or travel to the losers of this opening game on Friday 3rd April.
All the counties have trained hard for these games and in this opener Lancashire Head Coach Niel Jukes will be plotting to get the better of Yorkshire Head Coach Alf Hill following their heart stopping defeat last season.
