Re: TRANSFERS help
Which League does your son play for ?
yorkshire / nwc / etc
You would need to know what their transfer rules were to start with.

Re: TRANSFERS help
The rules states that two players can leave the first no problem but the second one needs the coachers permision if they say no he cant go which means he stops playing rugby

Transfers
We don't need a questionnaire as to why players are leaving this great game of ours - it would appear we are doing a fine job of it ourselves by the sound of things.

Re: TRANSFERS help
amr, I think you are making it up as you go along, no League will have such a nonsensical rule, name the League and prove me wrong. Any player can freely leave his/her club, subject to financial liabilities being satisfied, any constraints in place are to regulate the number of players joining a club.

Think you are mixing up, freely leaving a club. With transfering to the same club as a fellow team mate. Previously under the old rules a second player could only transfer to the same club as his team as long as the coach agrees.

Re: TRANSFERS help
Nope, it is you who are getting mixed up, the second player can leave the club, the rule is that they both can't sign for the same club.

Re: TRANSFERS help
I am not sure in which region your son plays AMR but here in the NW Counties13-15's League it was agreed at our AGM to amend our transfer rules to permit 3 transfers per season into a club but that they must be from 3 separate clubs.
There used to be circumstances in our League where additional players may have been permitted to join from the same club as long as both clubs "mutually agreed". Sadly, this system was abused by unscrupulous individuals who circumvented those directly involved with the team i.e. the Coaches and/or Team Managers, and sought signatures off ANYONE involved in whatever capacity at the Club in order to get their transfers through.
We, as a League, were then, when believing the transfer to have been approved, faced with irate Coaches who had no knowledge of the move until he/she heard their player was turning out for another team and decimating both morale and numbers at the players' former club. This grey area was therefore, due to the actions of certain parties, democratically removed from our Constitution and a straightforward black/white system of a maximum of 3 players from 3 separate teams introduced.
Sadly, the actions of some have affected the movement of those who previously would genuinely have had their transfer endorsed by their old team.
If our Clubs, not individuals, are unhappy with any aspect of our Constitution then, via a supported request for an SGM in line with our rules, amendments can be made democratically.
Whilst not resolving your own son's problem I hope this explanation goes someway to helping you understand the bigger picture and the rationale for removal of the old clause from a League perspective.
